hahaa i think it has become a habit to study with esther every Mon / Tues...yayss loveeee itt. ;) I'm so willing to go the distance for you luh!! hiak hiak ;P
hahaaa ever get the feeling of not seeing a person enuff even though you see each other every week? Or maybe the feeling of talking to someone every week but not really communicating? Or how about a friendship that is suppose to be so close but yet in fact it seems to be in name only? And you wonder if the person is really your so called best friend/good friend. We always say that people do not care how much we know, untill they know how much we care...but how much do we really care?
I know I have the tendency to measure how much a person cares about me by how often the person reads my blog... haha okae janet always tells me that it is not really an accurate measure... becos for people who do not blog... they dun really have the habit of reading blogs... haha yep i agree becos haha i am slightly guilty of that in the begining when she had a blog and i didnt. oops ;X. hahaha but i am a loyal fan now okae!!
But still, I cant help but think that if someone does care or even wonder whats been going on in my life/mind/thoughts... then this would be an avenue or even a step to opening the window to the updates in my life. I mean yes of course I dun exactly say EVERYTHING here... but people close enuff should noe thru my ramblings...read between the lines... or just sense it somehow.
Likewise when it comes to the word of God, if we claim to love him, to believe that he is a real and living God, our bestest friend, helper, father, King, then wouldnt we want to read more about him? to know what are his thoughts? his views and beliefs? Letting him speak to us through his word? Wouldnt we want to spend more time hanging out with him? Communicating with him? Being in his presence? Is once a week enough?? Abraham was called a friend of God. Because he walked so closely with God, that God even consulted him and ask him for his opinion when it came to the point when God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18,19)
How many of us can say with the full assurance of faith that we are a friend of God?
Or really, do we just view God as a genie?? someone who grants our wishes? someone we go to as a last resort when we are upset? an ATM?? or maybe someone so far away he probably does not care if one more person does not read his word...or one less person who loves him makes no difference.
A frienship has to be built. This means that it takes EFFORT. Effort to keep in contact... effort to ask a person out, effort to press in into their lives, effort to step out of your comfort zone to make that person's life slightly better.
I know I've not been a good friend in many ways...but the fact is I do care alot..and I do treasure our friendship alot... just that sometimes I do not know how to show it.
