Food for soul

Thursday cgm at my place last week was a new experience but a great one.

Because there were only a few of us, there were new opportunities and I believe everyone had a personal breakthrough that nite!

Zhinian played the guitar... and cia led praise! hahaa it was fun! But more than that, during worship, because everyone took a step of faith...we were simply basking in the presence of God! But the crux of my post today is about what Zoe shared with us during the word.

The Spiritual Vs. The Supernatural

You cant really blame the non believers for giving us the cynical smirks and looks when we tell them that we're Christians. Why? Because the impression we give them is that...

"spiritual" people go to service, cell group, bible study, pray, etc.

but hey, we're not just spiritual beings, we are called to be supernatural.


The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.
Luke 4:18-19


Are we healing the brokenhearted today? Do we see the sick healed when we pray for them? Are we showing people the road to true freedom? or do they see it as commitment and bonds?


Yes its true we go to service, cell group, bible study and pray a lot, but hey, its something that we look forward to because it is when our faith and strength is renewed, and we're all charged up to welcome the week ahead! And because of all these, we have a certain energy, creativity and an enlarged capacity for excellence that serves us well in the week.

Problem with most of us...we're too shy to tell people our secret to success. haha afraid that they'll think we are just being "spiritual". I for one, am guilty of that. sometimes :P

Like for my birthday party, everyone sees its as a success... what they dun know is that I prayed really hard! hehe i actually asked God to give me a good birthday party as a birthday present from him. and truth of the matter is, He is the only one that can give me that because there are so many factors that are not within my control or anyone elses!
